FEATURED PROJECT

Academic Advisors Uncover Student Needs

I created an e-learning concept project for new academic advisors to practice conversations with students that may need referrals to campus resources.  The project simulates a student appointment where advisors choose the questions and actions that will lead to student success.

TESTIMONIALS

Danielle Brumfitt - Vice President, External Affairs at Hostelling International USA (HI USA)

“Sarah was a strategic, talented and highly valued member of my External Affairs Team. She is a strong collaborator who brings concise and strategic solutions to multi layered initiatives. Through her work with HI USA she was responsible for the identification and growth of community partners, volunteers and donors. Her commitment to identifying common ground across these groups led to a strong respect and support from her partners. She is uniquely skilled in developing and executing on initiatives across multiple departments and utilized these skills in her event planning with colleagues. Sarah is both a strong representative and a consummate professional. Her tenure with our organization was only cut short due to COVID and difficult budget decisions, she is strongly missed!”

Myriam Huet - Assistant Director of Research and Evaluation, Tulane University Center for Public Service

“Sarah is a highly invested professional, with a collaborative outlook and flexible mindset. When she worked in my team, she stood out as a self-starter who systematically delivered high-quality work and could be trusted with time-sensitive and otherwise complicated situations. She is thorough, reliable, and supportive of others' work and contributions. In her role as coordinator for domestic and international community engagement programs, she acted as a liaison between the different constituents our office works with--undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and community partners. She was able to relate to them and was well appreciated by all of them. She developed intercultural training materials for the service-learning course taught in conjunction with a summer community engagement program in Ecuador. She excelled as an instructor and her skills in intercultural competence allowed her to unpack complex concepts to students and support their growth and reflections. Sarah is a true asset.”
